Contract Interior Design - In-Person (Interior Design)

Location: Remote (New York, New York, US); local in-home client meetings are required in NYC Proper. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Compensation: $125–$200 per completed design on a project-based fee, plus potential performance-based bonuses of $100–$500 tied to generated sales.

What you will do

• Collaborate with residential NYC-area clients through virtual and in-home meetings to understand their design preferences, needs, and budgets.
• Lead the design process by developing mood boards, design concepts, floor plans, and 3D renderings.
• Source furniture and decor across vendors and price points through hirify.global’s platform.
• Build client relationships that support repeat and referral business.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working as an interior designer and with own clients in person and/or virtually.
• Professional presence with confident, knowledgeable, and clear client communication.
• Comfort using online technologies for concept boards, 3D renderings, floor plans, presentations, and communications, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Canva is required.
• Passion, drive, and product knowledge sufficient to achieve strong creative results.
• Small-business mindset with the ability to drive projects forward and convert designs into sales.
• Extensive product knowledge across vendors, categories, and price points for sourcing furnishings and decor.
• Reliable transportation to and from client meetings, a personal computer with video-conferencing capabilities, and a current Photoshop license or Canva account.
• Personal computer with up-to-date macOS Big Sur or Windows 10 or 11.
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program or university.
