Remote Frontend Developer (AI)

Location: 100% remote; qualified applicants are welcome from around the world. Availability required Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Starting base pay for candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado: $17–$35 per hour. Compensation outside these states may fall outside the listed range.

What you will do

• Transform complex PSD layouts into pixel-perfect HTML5/CSS3 presentation templates.
• Create responsive website designs and build websites across multiple platforms.
• Extend and develop themes, plugins, and frontend functionality.
• Optimize web images using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks.
• Use Git or SVN while handling multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Produce detail-oriented, high-quality work and support frontend development for client projects.

Requirements

• Experience with modern JavaScript, including ES6+.
• Experience with frontend frameworks or libraries such as React, Vue, AngularJS, or similar tools.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery; knowledge of CSS platforms and frameworks such as Bootstrap.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, media queries, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience debugging frontend issues with Chrome DevTools, including the Console and Network panels.
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Cursor, or similar tools for code generation, troubleshooting, and workflow acceleration.
• Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, ownership, multitasking, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a diverse, multicultural remote environment.
• Availability for 40 hours per week during the specified Pacific Time schedule and a reliable remote workstation with a fast computer, microphone, speakers, internet, and power.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and AJAX.
• Experience with WordPress, BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify.
• Experience extending or developing themes, plugins, and frontend functionality.
• Experience with eCommerce websites.
• Experience optimizing images and frontend assets for web performance.
