Senior Staff Product Designer, Product Growth (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $203,000–$274,500 per year in Mountain View; eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own design strategy and vision for a major QuickBooks product growth area across acquisition, activation, engagement, monetization, and retention.
• Connect experimentation with durable, high-quality customer experiences and remain accountable for conversion, activation, engagement, retention, and other operational KPIs.
• Drive an AI-first design strategy and create hirify.globalive, transparent, and trustworthy AI-powered customer journeys.
• Lead discovery, concepting, rapid prototyping, and A/B testing on high-leverage product surfaces without compromising design craft.
• Raise visual, interaction, and systems-level design quality; coach designers and help shape design standards and the operating model.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, growth marketing, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on customer-focused product direction and ship scalable solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, with a strong focus on product-led growth, funnel or conversion design, or growth in a B2B or SaaS environment.
• Experience owning offering- or segment-level design strategy and delivering measurable business outcomes across acquisition, activation, engagement, or retention while maintaining experience quality.
• Deep expertise in experimentation and A/B testing, behavioral data, funnel analytics, and customer product experience.
• Experience designing with AI/ML, including personalization, predictive engagement, and AI-accelerated discovery and delivery, in a product growth context.
• Ability to integrate AI tools into the design workflow to improve quality, speed, or exploration.
• Ability to raise design craft across a team, with strong visual and interaction design judgment, systems thinking, and consistency at scale.
• Excellent storytelling, communication, and influence skills, including the ability to align senior executives and cross-functional partners around a clear vision and point of view.
• Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage organization building; experience establishing or scaling a design practice within a growth function and coaching others on craft and outcomes.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating rigorous craft, systems-level thinking, and measurable impact at scale.
