RF Electrical Engineer (Microwave/RF)

Location: Rancho Cordova, California, United States; TDY. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Salary: $90,800–$121,100 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-power microwave amplifiers and traveling wave tubes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Use advanced electromagnetic simulation tools to create RF designs and improve existing products.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on robust electrical and thermomechanical designs.
• Perform failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for yield and reliability issues.
• Plan and execute engineering and product development activities while improving performance and manufacturability.
• Prepare technical input for proposals and customer communications and ensure compliance with corporate, government, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 7+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave electronics, power electronics, and high-voltage practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HFSS, CST, or similar simulation tools.
• Python programming experience.
• Understanding of ISO/AS9100 and Lean Six Sigma principles.
