Engineering Team Lead (AI)

Salary: $117,600–$206,000 annually; incentive eligible

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, development, and operation of scalable, high-performance software solutions.
• Provide technical oversight for engineering teams, including vendor and strategic delivery partners, and guide complex technical decisions.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Security, Operations, Delivery, stakeholders, and business leaders to translate priorities into technical plans and roadmap execution.
• Establish engineering practices covering code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, operational readiness, incident management, resiliency, and disaster recovery.
• Drive modernization initiatives involving cloud adoption, platform scalability, automation, technical debt reduction, and developer experience.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, accountable environment and communicate technical strategy, risks, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of software engineering experience.
• 3 or more years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and application security.
• Experience designing and delivering scalable distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns, system design, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing observability, monitoring, logging, operational support, and troubleshooting practices; experience working in Agile and cross-functional environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience leading modernization initiatives, reducing technical debt, and improving platform sustainability.
• Experience mentoring engineers and developing future technical leaders.
• Experience with third-party vendors, outsourced engineering teams, or strategic delivery partners.
• Familiarity with data platforms, analytics solutions, and distributed data processing technologies.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, automation platforms, machine learning workflows, or data-driven applications.

• Healthcare supply chain experience.
