Backend Developer (Java)

Location: Boston, MA, US; on-site

Salary: USD 39,000–137,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement functional modules with Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate Vue.js user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write automated unit tests with JUnit and Mockito and maintain high test coverage.
• Deploy containerized applications on AWS EKS and develop serverless logic with AWS Lambda.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and releases.
• Develop and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including Web, Security, and Data.
• Practical experience with JavaScript and Vue.js for full-stack coordination.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including EKS and Lambda.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Expertise in writing unit tests and familiarity with Test-Driven Development practices.
• Expert knowledge of Git, including branching, merging, and pull request workflows.
• Ability to work in an on-site, full-time role in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or DynamoDB.
• Understanding of containerization principles using Docker.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools within an EKS environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
