Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; office-centric hybrid schedule with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Working from home is generally available on Wednesdays, while Friday arrangements depend on the type of work.

Salary: PLN 31,000–36,000 gross monthly on a Contract of Employment (UoP).

What you will do

• Design and build frameworks, tools, and services that improve infrastructure reliability, observability, and scalability.
• Lead end-to-end projects from scoping and design through rollout across multiple systems and teams.
• Improve the operability of MySQL, OpenSearch, and DynamoDB and contribute to the long-term vision for storage reliability.
• Debug production issues across the stack, participate in an on-call rotation, and implement lasting fixes.
• Partner with product teams to shape service-oriented architecture for fast and reliable development.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
• Strong software engineering background with experience writing production code and designing systems in Go, Python, Scala, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and SQL, NoSQL, and search storage technologies, especially in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS services such as RDS, EKS, and IAM, Terraform, and monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar.
• Solid understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
• Ability to build and ship production systems rather than working only with scripting.
• Clear communication and strong collaboration skills, including navigating trade-offs with stakeholders across the stack.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with willingness to use them to improve productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
