Portfolio Optimization Data Scientist - North QA

Location: Based in Alicante, Spain, at hirify.global's Technology Hub.

What you will do

• Define, design, and implement analysis and insight tools that convert data into communicated insights for the North QA team.
• Prepare data from multiple sources into aggregated datasets and analyze large volumes of complex data.
• Apply machine learning, data mining, and classical statistical methods to quality assurance and portfolio analytics.
• Build analytics solutions, dashboards, and reports in collaboration with scientists and engineers across hirify.global, using on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor product performance in the field, analyze operational issues, and support data-driven portfolio improvement programs.
• Recommend corrective actions and maintain proactive suggestions for improving portfolio performance.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related field where statistics and complex analysis are core skills.
• Comfort working with classical statistics, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and recognition of classical distributions.
• Daily experience with data analysis tools such as R, SQL, or similar.
• Programming and problem-solving skills for analytical tool development and implementation.
• Ability to collaborate with scientists, engineers, QA teams, and other functions to identify where machine learning and AI can add value.
• Ability to present, communicate, and share analytical insights and learning.

Nice to have

• Experience working as a data scientist or data analyst.
• Experience across the analytics chain, from raw data and feature engineering through analysis to stable deployed models that support better decisions.
• Power BI knowledge for reporting and presentation-layer work.
