Mgr, Accounting

Location: Hybrid work from hirify.global offices in Seattle, WA; part-time telecommuting is an option.

Salary: $120,600–$180,000 per annum.

What you will do

• Provide guidance on revenue-related accounting transactions to management, sales, stakeholders, foreign subsidiaries, and accounting staff.
• Participate in the accounting close process, prepare standard and complex journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Review revenue transactions, resolve discrepancies, analyze revenue and related balances, and review high-risk transaction types.
• Evaluate customer contracts and contract adjustment requests for revenue recognition impacts and help mitigate accounting risks.
• Develop accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls, and respond to auditor requests.
• Oversee the public cloud accounting process for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services and provide technical accounting analysis for the Term License Subscription methodology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Experience managing revenue accounting processes related to revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Experience implementing and maintaining revenue recognition policies and procedures.
• Experience reviewing and reconciling accounts, analyzing revenue trends, and identifying potential issues or discrepancies.
• Experience managing monthly close processes for revenue-related accounts and preparing monthly revenue reports for management.
• Experience developing and implementing internal controls related to revenue accounting.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
