Embedded Software Engineer II (IoT)

Location: Gdansk, Poland; full-time onsite role.

Salary: minimum gross base salary of 19,166.67 PLN monthly.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for Ring devices.
• Specify and implement embedded subsystems for connectivity, streaming, power management, sensors, and security.
• Work across architecture, implementation, code review, device testing, and production release.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, cloud, and app teams to deliver integrated product experiences.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and cross-team architecture decisions.
• Debug hardware-software issues using JTAG, UART, and protocol analyzers.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive embedded development experience in C or C++.
• Familiarity and experience with ARM CPUs.
• Experience writing low-level drivers and interrupt service routines.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging with hardware.
• Experience shipping embedded products to production and taking products from prototype to large-scale deployment.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code for constrained environments, communicate proactively, identify technical risks, and drive solutions across teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with commercial wireless protocols such as BLE or WiFi.
• Experience developing and testing firmware for battery-powered products.
• Experience with IAR, Keil, and Git.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, and UART bus protocols.
• Experience with unit, regression, and system testing.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux and FreeRTOS.
• Comfort with a scripting language such as Python.
• Experience building GenAI applications.
