Innovation Work Package Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Marseille Area; based at the Marignane site in France, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. Frequent travel to suppliers and innovation project partners is required.

An aerospace manufacturer developing and producing helicopters, flying demonstrators, and advanced aeronautical technologies.

What you will do

• Develop key technologies for helicopter flying demonstrators, covering subsystem studies, proof-of-concept design and realization, manufacturing follow-up, test campaigns, and technology maturation.
• Manage or directly perform complex mechanical studies across helicopter subsystems, including new engine and powertrain technologies.
• Manage ground-test campaigns at company facilities and partner or university locations.
• Analyze experimental data from ground and flight tests, especially engine-related results, and calibrate simulation models with aerodynamics, CFD, thermal, data-analysis, and engine specialists.
• Model and tune thermodynamic components and coordinate technical activities with internal engineering teams.
• Prepare permit-to-fly documentation and manage suppliers, universities, partners, production, quality, and logistics activities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as an engineer working on complex products.
• At least 4 years of development experience in the aerospace industry, especially at low technology readiness levels up to TRL6.
• Proven experience as a project leader or Work Package Manager.
• Engineering or Science Master's degree, equivalent to Bachelor+5.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 standard modules and VPM-type PLM tools.
• Advanced awareness of safety, compliance, and airworthiness constraints for aerospace products.
• Technical English proficiency.
• Agility, adaptability, versatility, resilience, ability to work under pressure, and ability to embrace uncertainty.
• Leadership and management skills.
