Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: Brno, Czech Republic. Hybrid 3+2 schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week at the office, including mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and up to 2 days working from home.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architectures on Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Apply SRE principles to hybrid and multi-cloud production workloads, improving scalability, cost efficiency, performance, security, uptime, and resilience.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code and continuously improve production workflows.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems; define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Lead production incident response, including root cause analysis, documentation, and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams, communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer supporting production systems.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar for infrastructure and operations.
• Solid knowledge of observability tooling and strong troubleshooting and incident management skills in complex production environments.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and system performance optimization in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead high-pressure incident scenarios and drive long-term operational improvements.
