Tendering Manager

What you will do

• Develop effective tender packages with regional and functional leads while considering delivery risks and opportunities.
• Manage tender budgets, cost codes, governance, review processes, and external consultants.
• Lead pricing, estimating, contract, and risk reviews, coordinating input across disciplines.
• Coordinate regional Commercial Manager engagement, supply-chain input, and commercial handovers to delivery teams.
• Lead bid clarifications and qualifications with clients and act as the client point of contact for commercial and pricing negotiations.
• Manage and provide line leadership to the estimating and contracts team.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies; an appropriate professional qualification is preferred, while other relevant experience will be considered.
• Substantial experience in a similar role with consolidated leadership or management experience.
• Experience ideally gained in the Transmission and Distribution or civils sector, although this is not essential.
• Strong ability to assess risks and figures when reviewing and approving team work products.
• Ability to inspire the team to deliver promptly and accurately against tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to explain complex principles at all organizational levels.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, innovation, and a client-driven approach.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams at all business levels with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Flexibility to undertake varied work while priorities change.
