Agentic AI Principal

Location: Stuttgart, Germany; hybrid. The role focuses on clients in Germany, the Netherlands and the wider DACH region, with work involving German and EU-regulated environments.

What you will do

• Shape and solution complex agentic AI pursuits with account, commercial and delivery leaders, translating client needs into architectures, propositions and executable delivery approaches.
• Advise CEO, CIO, CDO, CISO and COO stakeholders; lead AI maturity assessments, define agentisation opportunities and connect architecture choices to measurable business value and ROI.
• Set architecture direction for production-grade agentic AI systems covering multi-agent workflows, orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval, evaluation, observability and enterprise integration.
• Integrate agents with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, LIMS, QMS, clinical, MES/PLM, industrial and legacy back-office systems, using MCP and A2A where appropriate.
• Design compliant solutions for sovereign and regulated environments, including data sovereignty, privacy, security, responsible AI and applicable EU and sector regulations.
• Lead complex programmes, establish reusable engineering and governance patterns, mentor technical leaders and grow hirify.global' German and Dutch agentic AI capability.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in modern software engineering and Python, including testing, CI/CD, observability, maintainability and production reliability.
• Recognised experience architecting and delivering complex GenAI and agentic AI systems at enterprise scale from discovery through production deployment.
• Deep knowledge of agentic architectures and frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, LlamaIndex or equivalent, including tool use, orchestration, memory, multi-agent coordination, MCP and A2A.
• Strong expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation, advanced information retrieval, vector databases and enterprise knowledge integration.
• Experience designing evaluation strategies covering quality, safety, reliability, latency and cost, plus strong understanding of guardrails, red-teaming, observability, responsible AI and secure deployment.
• Significant experience deploying AI systems on major cloud platforms with containers, orchestration and production infrastructure, including EU sovereign cloud, hybrid or on-premises environments and self-hosted open-weight models.
• Experience with prompt and context engineering, fine-tuning where appropriate, application-level optimisation and architecture trade-offs across capability, reliability, security, compliance, performance and cost.
• Working knowledge of the EU AI Act, GDPR and relevant sector rules, including GxP, GAMP 5, EU MDR/IVDR, EHDS, DORA, NIS2 and BaFin requirements where applicable.
• Proven ability to lead C-suite engagements and shape, sell and deliver complex Data & AI deals, including €3M–5M-plus pursuits, €5M-plus deals and an annual target of €10M-plus TCV in AI-first Data & AI delivery.
• Recent consultancy or professional-services experience, ideally with German, Dutch or DACH enterprise clients, and experience growing a practice, capability or go-to-market asset.
• Proven leadership across multidisciplinary teams, influence without formal authority, mentoring of senior engineers and technical leaders, and experience navigating German works councils, data protection officers and procurement.
• German at B2 minimum; C1 strongly preferred, plus fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering AI in healthcare or life sciences, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing quality or commercial contexts.
• Experience integrating agents with SAP and industrial or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with data product and data platform foundations for AI.
