Software Engineer (Go)

Location: San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, or New York City, United States.

Salary: $130,600–$192,000 USD base salary annually, localized according to work location; equity opportunities are also available.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate mission-critical backend services and infrastructure for the Reliability Platform.
• Develop pipelines, complex orchestration workflows, and self-service platform capabilities used by engineering teams.
• Unify incident management processes and tooling across hirify.global-owned brands.
• Build frameworks that measure SLO compliance and quality across tens of thousands of endpoints and generate actionable engineering insights.
• Develop the internal SRE Agent with domain-specific knowledge bases and configure MCP integrations for agentic use of reliability data and tools.
• Automate operational toil and experiment with AI-assisted workflows that can propose, validate, and safely execute production changes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering, including delivering and maintaining complex systems.
• Experience thinking in terms of APIs, abstractions, and workflows when building systems used by other engineers.
• Fluency in Go or a similar programming language, with the ability to design and deliver scalable, resilient, performant, and efficient mission-critical services.
• Comfort with AWS primitives, security best practices, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Understanding of SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
• Willingness to use AI tools for coding, planning, supporting peers, and engineering work.
• Interest in automation and agentic, AI-assisted operations.
