Focus on researching new cathode technologies, supporting technology-roadmap decisions, and applying DFMEA, PFMEA, root-cause analysis, APQP, and 4M management.

Location: Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France; permanent onsite position.

Verkor is hiring for its Product Design Engineering team to develop cathode materials for Li-ion cells.

What you will do

  • Lead the development of cathode materials.
  • Specify cathode-material characteristics based on Li-ion cell requirements and support the selection of cathode active materials.
  • Support the electrode engineer responsible for cathode-electrode formulation.
  • Build the supplier network for cathode active materials.
  • Survey emerging cathode active-material technologies and support the technology roadmap.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Materials Science.
  • Experience in Li-ion cell development.
  • Experience in cathode-material research and development.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, and root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of APQP and 4M management.

Nice to have

  • Experience with the synthesis and mass production of Li-ion active materials.
  • Experience with Li-rich cathode materials.
