Sr. Director, Global Markets Data & AI Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Define and execute the Global Markets Data & AI engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Modernize legacy solutions into cloud-native, reusable, and supportable services.
• Establish engineering patterns for data products, ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, model deployment, monitoring, and observability.
• Partner with front office, risk, compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions.
• Drive automation, AI-augmented development, and agentic workflows while ensuring security, governance, records management, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams across data, AI, and platform disciplines, setting engineering standards, delivery practices, and operational controls.

Requirements

• Extensive technology leadership experience within the Global Markets domain.
• Proven experience leading data and AI engineering in Global Markets.
• Strong eTrading and derivatives risk management domain knowledge.
• Strong experience working with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Technical skills in Python, Rust, SQL, API design, distributed computing, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data engineering, orchestration, observability, AI/ML platforms, MLOps, and model governance.
• Knowledge of long-horizon agentic platforms, agent memory systems, and agentic RAG.
• Strategic thinking, enterprise perspective, strong execution and prioritization, people development, and the ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
• Strong focus on control, resilience, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering AI platforms, workflow automation, or intelligent analytics solutions.
• Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management and MLOps.
• Experience with market data, trading, sales, risk, or client analytics platforms.
• Hands-on experience with kdb+/q, Spark, Kafka, dbt, Airflow, Temporal, or Scala.
• Experience leading platform transformation or modernization programmes.
