Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build, operate, and scale AWS and Kubernetes platforms across Production, QA, and Development, including capacity, networking, and multi-cluster architecture for more than 10,000 dealership clients.
• Advance infrastructure-as-code and GitOps using Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or equivalent tools to keep environments reproducible, auditable, and free of configuration drift.
• Design and operate automated deployments, autoscaling, logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability while balancing performance, resilience, and cloud cost.
• Build self-service tooling and automation for access, secrets, and environments to reduce manual, ticket-driven work and improve engineering productivity.
• Strengthen reliability and security through least-privilege IAM, secrets management, incident response, on-call practices, disaster recovery, and multi-region readiness.
• Partner with development and data teams on infrastructure for databases, data platforms, and resilient service-to-service design at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, including hands-on ownership of production infrastructure for a high-traffic, multi-tenant SaaS.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and production Kubernetes, specifically EKS, operated at real scale with hundreds of nodes and thousands of pods.
• Strong experience with GitOps and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or equivalent tools, plus CI/CD tools and processes such as GitHub Actions.
• Solid experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting systems such as Datadog, Coralogix, or Prometheus/Grafana, and with production incident response.
• Strong scripting and coding skills, including leveraging AI LLM tooling such as Cursor or Claude Code, with a focus on automating manual work and building internal tools.
• Working knowledge of cloud networking, Linux, and security best practices, including least-privilege IAM and secrets management.

Nice to have

• Experience running multi-cluster EKS environments in multi-region disaster-recovery or resilience setups.
• Cloud cost-optimization and FinOps experience, with a track record of designing for scale.
• Experience with database and data-platform operations at scale, including RDS/Aurora MySQL, read replicas or sharding, DMS/CDC, and ClickHouse.
• DevSecOps mindset and experience hardening infrastructure for enterprise compliance.
• BA/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-functional engineering teams.
