Chief Business Officer (Fintech)

hirify.global is building an open-source core banking system for banks and credit unions, with native support for fiat and digital assets, a Rust-based event-sourced architecture, and an AI harness connecting agents through MCP.

What you will do

• Lead engagements with US banks and credit unions through introduction, diligence, requirements definition, architecture review, and procurement.
• Serve as the authority on core banking operations, including general ledger and accounting, deposits, lending and servicing, payment rails, partner banking, and bank operations.
• Own responses on examination readiness, audits, regulatory reporting, vendor due diligence, and third-party risk management, while representing hirify.global with industry associations, supervisory bodies, and sector conferences.
• Define the US institutional offering, including available modules, configuration, scope, and capability maturity; translate institutional needs into product direction with engineering leadership.
• Develop packaging, pricing, implementation scope, and phasing for the US market with the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
• Contribute to the US go-to-market plan and help build the delivery team over time.

Requirements

• 10 or more years in banking, credit unions, or core banking providers, including senior operating responsibility.
• Direct experience operating, selecting, implementing, or replacing a core banking system.
• Demonstrated product leadership in defining, packaging, or bringing technology products for financial institutions to market.
• Working fluency with the US regulatory environment and experience engaging with examiners and supervisors.
• Ability to work directly with senior engineers, read architecture documentation, and engage on technical trade-offs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive, technical, and regulatory audiences.
• Knowledge of bitcoin, stablecoins, and digital assets, or a clear commitment to developing this knowledge.

Nice to have

• Executive experience at a US bank, credit union, or core banking vendor.
• Credit union experience.
• Experience with de novo charter formation or establishing a new line of business within a regulated institution.
• Experience evaluating and selecting core vendors from the institution side.
• Hands-on experience with bank accounting and general ledger systems.
