Location: Singapore, Orchard Road; hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the local office and remaining days flexible for remote work. Candidates must be based in or able to work from the advertised location. The platform will operate in Malaysia.

What you will do

• Own the Recognized Market Operator registration for the e-Services Platform from Securities Commission pre-application consultation through submission, conditional approval, and launch.
• Serve as the Securities Commission’s named Responsible Person and sign the system and operational readiness declaration before the platform operates.
• Build the operating company across technology, security, compliance, and operations.
• Manage relationships with licensed intermediaries and fund managers, including written allocation of anti-money laundering monitoring responsibilities.
• Own P&L, customer growth, revenue, unit economics, and operating performance.
• Ensure orderly, fair, and transparent platform operations, fees, and rulebook application while supporting the board’s oversight duties.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience, including strong experience building or running a regulated financial services or fintech business.
• At least 5 years in financial services, capital markets, or regulated financial technology, including at least 3 years at senior management level with functional or P&L ownership.
• At least 3 years of direct exposure to capital-market intermediation, distribution, or market operation.
• Prior direct dealings with a financial regulator in a named or accountable capacity.
• A degree or professional qualification from an institution recognised by the government of Malaysia, with the ability to meet the Securities Commission’s fit and proper criteria.
• Availability for full-time appointment; the Responsible Person cannot hold another executive role.
• Hands-on operating style, with the ability to read guidelines, review onboarding flows, and personally drive regulatory and commercial work.
• Strong English communication skills; English is the main working language across global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with unit trust distribution or online broking in Malaysia.
• Experience launching a business under a regulator’s conditional approval.
