Chief Operating Officer, Taiwan (Fintech): Leading the Taiwan private banking franchise launch and ongoing COO, business management, operations, technology, and finance functions with an accent on regulatory licensing, operating model design, governance, and cross-functional delivery. Focus on building the local organisation and infrastructure, managing transformation initiatives, and ensuring prudent risk, compliance, and operational performance.
Location: Onsite in Singapore for 12–18 months, followed by relocation to Taiwan

What you will do
- Translate the Taiwan market strategy into an integrated implementation roadmap with milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and success measures.
- Coordinate the phased launch of the Taiwan business across operations, technology, governance, regulatory, people, infrastructure, and client-readiness workstreams.
- Lead regulatory engagement, licensing approvals, local governance setup, target operating model design, workforce planning, recruitment, and vendor infrastructure implementation.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, implementation governance, risk escalation, readiness assessments, senior-management reporting, and post-implementation reviews.
- Oversee business-as-usual COO and business management functions, including budgeting, operational efficiency, process improvement, resource allocation, and large-scale transformation.
- Supervise local Operations & Technology, Finance, and other delegated functions while strengthening risk management, compliance, controls, and team performance.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of experience in private banking, COO, business management, or strategic transformation roles.
- Successful experience in market expansion, regulatory engagement, governance leadership, and large-scale programme delivery.
- Experience engaging regulators and executive committees and managing complex cross-functional transformation initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen, disciplined risk mindset, and experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong background in business management, budgeting, governance, performance oversight, and strategic planning.
- Willingness to work onsite in Singapore for 12–18 months before relocating to Taiwan.
