Expert Snowflake Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warsaw, or Łódź, Poland, working 2–3 days per week from the office, with the possibility of remote work.

Salary: 1,200–1,500 PLN/day on B2B.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and SQL.
• Analyze banking requirements related to balance sheet stress testing, risk management, treasury, liquidity, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance, treasury, risk, and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and optimize data models for financial analysis, stress testing, and management reporting.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, aggregation, quality checks, and discrepancy investigations across multiple source systems.
• Ensure data governance, lineage, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end delivery through production deployment.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, and enterprise data warehousing.
• Extensive experience developing ETL/ELT processes and data transformations.
• Solid understanding of banking processes, especially Balance Sheet Management, Stress Testing, Risk Management, Treasury, Liquidity, and Regulatory Reporting.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with complex data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and aggregation across multiple source systems.
• Knowledge of financial data modeling and data preparation for analytical models.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, data lineage, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as EBA, ECB, Basel, ICAAP, ILAAP, or IRRBB.
• Experience with Data Vault, dimensional modeling, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and Power BI or Tableau.
