AXIS OS – Software Project Manager (Embedded Linux)

What you will do

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software development projects within the AXIS OS Security and Compliance domain.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets with senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies across teams and projects.
• Coordinate development teams, product owners, product management, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and report project status, KPIs, milestones, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with software development lifecycle processes and quality standards while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field.
• At least five years of proven experience in software development project management within embedded systems or Linux-based platforms.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Strong technical understanding, with the ability to communicate effectively with software developers and understand project complexities.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with risk management and resource planning.
• Understanding of software compliance processes and incorporation of regulatory or standards-based requirements into development projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of embedded programming, Linux systems, and open-source software.
• Experience coordinating compliance-related work across teams or working with standards such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) or Common Criteria.
