Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Hamburg, Germany

Salary: EUR 70,000–85,000 yearly

SCAYLE is an enterprise commerce platform enabling brands and retailers to build direct-to-consumer businesses, with products including SCAYLE Commerce Engine and SCAYLE STUDIOS.

What you will do

• Own and develop the SCAYLE.com and SCAYLESTUDIOS.ai websites.
• Replatform SCAYLE.com from WordPress to a modern AI-enhanced, headless or React/Next.js stack.
• Build navigation, landing pages, onboarding flows, activation modules, and payment journeys for SCAYLE STUDIOS.
• Manage technical SEO, Generative Engine Optimization, Core Web Vitals, media optimization, CDNs, and site speed.
• Implement event tracking, A/B testing, and conversion metrics in collaboration with the Demand team.
• Work with Content, Product, Demand, and non-technical stakeholders to ship web experiences and secure publishing workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior, hands-on web development experience in B2B/SaaS or marketing.
• Strong hands-on coding skills combined with an eye for design and UX.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails with Hotwire.
• WordPress knowledge and experience driving migration to a headless or React/Next.js setup.
• Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals, media and video optimization, CDNs, technical SEO, and AI/GEO search strategies.
• Experience building high-converting landing pages, sign-up flows, and Stripe-backed payment integrations.
• Experience with A/B testing, event tracking, and conversion optimization.
• Ownership mindset and ability to use AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to ship quickly.
• Fluent English.
