Data Governance / Business Analyst Consultant

Location: Poland; must work from the European Union region and have a work permit.

What you will do

• Define and document Data Governance operating models, business processes, and governance documentation.
• Design processes for business terms, business metadata, technical metadata, data products, data ownership, data domains, and accountability.
• Develop data classification standards and support regulatory and security requirements.
• Connect business knowledge with technical data assets and design data lineage and impact analysis processes.
• Gather requirements and define target-state solutions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Support implementation and adoption in the Knowledge Catalog platform through workshops, training, knowledge transfer, and change initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in Data Governance initiatives within large organizations.
• Strong understanding of Data Management principles and frameworks.
• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process modeling, and clear business process documentation.
• Knowledge of metadata management concepts and practices, including business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data products.
• Experience with data ownership and stewardship models.
• Knowledge of data classification and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience preparing documentation and conducting workshops.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Must work from the European Union region and hold a work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise data catalog solutions.
• Familiarity with Google Knowledge Catalog.
• Knowledge of data lineage and impact analysis methodologies.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Understanding of data quality management practices.
• Experience delivering user training and change management activities.
