Environment, Health & Safety Intern

Location: Tullamarine, Victoria, Australia; onsite five days a week.

What you will do

• Support safety project coordination, continuous improvement initiatives, and action tracking.
• Assist with developing, reviewing, and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Participate in workplace inspections, risk assessments, compliance tracking, and safety programs.
• Administer training activities and support data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders across functions to strengthen the workplace safety culture.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety principles, risk assessment, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to assist with safety policy, procedure, and documentation development and maintenance.
• Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data, identify trends, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities, and track actions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with varied stakeholders across teams.
• Ability to identify issues, recommend practical solutions, and support process and safety improvements.
• Proactive, self-motivated, eager to learn, and willing to take ownership of tasks and contribute to projects.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, record keeping, and high-quality documentation and reporting.
• University student seeking practical experience in workplace safety, compliance, risk management, and project coordination.
