Quality Management Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Fremantle, Australia; travel to other Maritime Australia sites required for 15% of the role. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
• Maintain QMS integrity when changes are planned and implemented.
• Conduct audits, identify non-compliance, and develop corrective actions.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate external audits and certifications and provide quality guidance for new processes, products, and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering or Quality Management, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience implementing and managing a quality management system compliant with ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100.
• Ability to hold an NV1 Security Clearance and eligibility to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent qualification.
• AS9100 Auditor qualification or experience.
