Senior Managing Producer, MS NOW Weekend Operations

Location: Hybrid, New York, NY, United States. Must be willing to work in New York, NY, have unrestricted work authorization in the United States, and work flexible hours under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.

Salary: USD 150,000–175,000 yearly, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Manage operational and scheduling needs for MS NOW weekend programs.
• Partner with the VP of Weekend Programming and the MS NOW executive team on operational, training, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
• Provide backup support to the VP of Weekend Programming and Executive Managing Producer, Weekend Editorial.
• Maintain a clear, transparent, and fair production and on-air schedule system using Workschedule.net.
• Develop and deploy employee training programs for MS NOW news programs to improve performance and retention.
• Work with leadership and HR to improve entry-level recruiting effectiveness.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of news show leadership experience on a national cable or broadcast platform.
• Strong interest in driving breaking and live coverage of current events, politics, and pop culture.
• Strong research skills and news judgment.
• Previous experience in training or people management.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work in New York, NY and flexible hours under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree or studies in business administration and/or journalism.
• Experience developing or deploying new workflows or processes within an existing organization.
• Entrepreneurial interest or experience.
