Process Development Senior Associate (Oral Solid Dosage Forms)

Salary: $80,044.50–$108,295.50 annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop oral solid dosage forms for early-stage clinical programs through formulation and process development experiments.
• Execute key unit operations including blending, dry granulation, and compression, and evaluate their impact on product quality and performance.
• Plan and perform material and powder characterization studies, contribute to experimental design, and analyze results to guide development decisions.
• Document experiments, data, and conclusions in electronic laboratory notebooks in compliance with GMP requirements and internal SOPs.
• Collaborate with Drug Product, Drug Substance, and other cross-functional teams; communicate findings through technical presentations and written reports.
• Evaluate process performance and product quality, improve team tools and systems, and support scale-up and technology transfer activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of formulation laboratory experience, or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of formulation laboratory experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of formulation laboratory experience.
• Ability to independently execute experiments and translate results into actionable insights.
• Ability to contribute to experimental design and process optimization.
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical development in a GMP environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Material Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant field.
• 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with an emphasis on oral solid dosage forms.
• Hands-on experience developing oral solid dosage forms, including blending, dry granulation, and compression.
• Experience with powder and solid dosage form characterization techniques.
• Experience supporting or developing SharePoint platforms, data tracking tools, knowledge repositories, workflow tracking tools, or other knowledge management systems.
