Senior Associate, Genesis, Portfolio Operations

What you will do

• Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to provide Gross NAV calculations covering cash, positions, unsettled trades, and accrued interest, primarily for the Bank Debt business.
• Verify trade processing, credit activity, agent notices, security definitions, pricing, and portfolio construction.
• Oversee P&L anomalies, investigate causes, resolve issues, and ensure accurate portfolio data.
• Complete full reconciliations using Markit, Clearpar, and WSO, while overseeing reconciliation and data transmission technology.
• Manage client communications, custodian and third-party relationships, SLA compliance, escalations, audits, and operational reporting.
• Act as the operations contact for allocated funds and manage new client onboarding processes.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience in bank debt within the funds industry.
• Strong understanding of market practices, accounting methods, and P&L calculations for equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options, and OTC products.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of private and syndicated loans, delayed draws, and revolvers.
• Commitment to improving processes and increasing efficiency.
• Creativity in exploring solutions to improve daily operational efficiency.
• Ability to follow standards, procedures, controls, and SLAs and to communicate and escalate operational issues.
