Security Engineering Team Lead (AI Security)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the Security Engineering team, set priorities, run the engineering cadence, and build career paths.
• Own the architecture and roadmap for log pipelines, SIEM, detection and automation, AWS security, SaaS security, AI security, and security tooling.
• Design AWS security architecture covering identity guardrails, logging, monitoring, and posture management.
• Build and operate detection-as-code, automation, agent tooling, and the platform supporting the security agent fleet, including integrations, permissions, evaluations, logging, and reliability.
• Set engineering standards for design reviews, code reviews, testing, infrastructure as code, and observability while solving complex technical problems hands-on.
• Partner with Security Operations and represent Security Engineering to security leadership, R&D, and IT.

Requirements

• 5 or more years in security engineering, cloud security, or detection engineering, including senior- or lead-level work.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based or agent-based workflows and related tooling, with AI-assisted development used as a normal part of engineering.
• Experience owning the design of security platforms at scale, including log pipelines, detection frameworks, and cloud security controls.
• Deep knowledge of AWS security architecture, IAM, organizations and guardrails, and security services.
• AWS Security Specialty or Solutions Architect Associate certification, or equivalent demonstrated depth.
• Strong Python and infrastructure as code experience, with a record of shipping production systems.
• Ability to write clear design documents and explain technical trade-offs to leadership.

Nice to have

• SSPM and SaaS integration security experience at scale.
• Experience with FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 environments.
• AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISSP, or similar certification.
