Junior Google Cloud Architect (GCP)

Location: Remote within Hungary; sites in Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, and Szeged, Hungary.

What you will do

• Analyze cloud-native tools and frameworks and design Google Cloud Platform solutions for client requirements.
• Contribute to cloud solution implementation, automation, service improvement, and migration planning.
• Build and customize automated cloud-native solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Participate in technical workshops, pilots, proof-of-concept projects, client proposals, and presentations.
• Review customer workloads and environments with senior architects and engineers, aligning solutions with Google Cloud best practices.
• Create solution templates, define features, prepare technical documentation, and support troubleshooting with DevOps teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps practices, or cloud solutions; internships, part-time positions, and academic work count.
• Foundational knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and services including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Firebase.
• Familiarity with modern software development using Python, NodeJS, or Java.
• Fundamental understanding of cloud networking, automation, and security practices.
• Collaborative and problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in a high-performance team environment.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Google Cloud Certification such as Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud connectivity topics including VPC, Cloud VPN, and Load Balancers.
• Experience building distributed systems or microservices applications.
