Senior Software Engineer (Roku)

hirify.global is a sports streaming product company delivering live sports experiences through connected TV platforms and other digital products.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain features for hirify.global's Roku application, focusing on user interfaces and video playback experiences.
• Build UI components, screens, and customer journeys according to product requirements, design guidance, and Roku platform standards.
• Improve application performance, stability, accessibility, and usability across supported Roku devices and operating system versions.
• Integrate backend services, playback APIs, analytics, and experimentation capabilities.
• Investigate and resolve UI, playback, application stability, and device-specific defects.
• Collaborate with Senior and Staff Engineers, Product, Design, QA, and Platform teams throughout requirements analysis, development, testing, debugging, and release.

Requirements

• Experience developing applications or features for Connected TV, streaming, mobile, web, or embedded platforms.
• Understanding of UI development principles, including component-based development, navigation, responsiveness, accessibility, and consistent user experience.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of video playback concepts, streaming quality, error handling, and playback troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with software testing, debugging, version control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with engineering, QA, Product, Design, and other technical teams.
• Familiarity with AI or LLM-based development tools and responsible AI usage, including validating generated code, protecting data, and maintaining security and engineering standards.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to accept feedback, and motivation to develop technical capabilities.
• English is required for parts of the recruitment process, and the resume must be submitted in English.
