Senior Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the assigned office, typically Tuesday through Thursday

What you will do

• Develop scalable, responsive, and maintainable software for the Notes and Canvas products.
• Build real-time editing functionality using modern frontend technologies and WebSocket-based services.
• Design and implement APIs, services, reusable patterns, technical documentation, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, share knowledge, and support engineering alignment and continuous improvement.
• Use AI development tools such as Claude and Cursor for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
• Maintain legacy codebases and participate in the on-call rotation for incident response and triage.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in a modern frontend framework such as React.
• Strong HTML and CSS knowledge, including responsive UI development, state management, accessibility, performance, and security fundamentals.
• Backend coding experience with Node.js, plus experience designing APIs and services, system design, and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficient English and availability to work from the Warsaw office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications.
• Experience contributing to cross-platform solutions.
