Professional Services Consultant (SASE)

Location: Canada; ability to travel up to 20% for customer on-site meetings and company meetings.

What you will do

• Implement Cato products independently and maintain expert-level implementation proficiency across the SASE and enterprise IT infrastructure landscape.
• Design, configure, and deploy Cato solutions to support successful customer implementations and business value.
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and partners through consultative and prescriptive guidance.
• Act as a technical escalation point, troubleshoot issues, and support timely resolution with minimal oversight.
• Onboard and mentor new team members, coordinate customer onboarding training, and contribute to repeatable technical best practices.
• Collaborate with product, support, and engineering teams to provide field feedback on features and functionality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working as an engineer in a multi-vendor IT infrastructure environment, ideally with responsibility for solution operations and/or engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with network routing, including static routing, BGP, and OSPF, and network switching.
• At least 5 years of experience in two or more of the following domains: firewalls and proxy services; Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, or RBI; identity and privilege management integrations such as SSO, SAML, SCIM, or LDAP; intrusion prevention systems; networking packet analysis or web browser diagnostics.
• 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, professional services, pre-sales, or managed services for a high-tech software or technology vendor.
• Knowledge of and experience deploying secure enterprise IT infrastructure services according to industry best practices and security frameworks such as PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO, COBIT, HITRUST, or GDPR.
• Experience implementing or managing network infrastructure with one or more major public cloud providers, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to web-based APIs and scripting languages.
• Excellent customer interaction, presentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences and identify root causes methodically.
• Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels, stay organized, work effectively in an agile and fast-paced environment, and collaborate within a geographically distributed and diverse team.
• Solid written and spoken command of English.

Nice to have

• Relevant industry-recognized certification from a major security or network vendor, such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or CISSP.
• Additional language skills.
