Software Development Manager (AI)

hirify.global operates customer-facing websites and backend services while building AI-native automation for its production infrastructure.

What you will do

• Own the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture for the AI-native operational automation factory.
• Own the test pipeline that validates generated workflows before production and use evaluation and execution data to detect regressions.
• Partner with service teams to convert high-toil operational tasks into validated workflows running at hirify.global scale.
• Expand agent ownership of operational work from human-approved execution to supervised autonomy while managing safety, cost, and approval tradeoffs.
• Establish production-grade operating practices, risk mitigation, and escalation processes for traditional and AI-powered workloads.
• Hire, retain, coach, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, while driving adoption of AI development tools.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and network development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
• Experience managing teams or building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
• Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services.
• Track record of partnering with product, program, and technical leadership to define strategy and priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing Software Engineer teams to improve their skills and effectiveness.
• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience with Data and AI technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, databases, or storage.
