Senior Design Researcher (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester, Bristol or Cardiff, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site.

Salary: £61,344–£68,160 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver research for a specific domain within the Transport platform.
• Work with multidisciplinary design and product teams to understand research needs and identify opportunities.
• Shape and manage the research roadmap for the assigned area.
• Design and execute high-quality qualitative research using a range of methods.
• Share actionable insights that influence design and product decisions.
• Experiment with new research methods and improve how research is delivered.

Requirements

• Strong experience working as a design or user researcher within a multidisciplinary design or product team, with the ability to work autonomously.
• Proven ability to work closely with design and product partners to shape direction through research.
• Deep qualitative research expertise across a range of methods.
• Experience delivering strategic and tactical research studies from the ground up.
• Ability to synthesise complex findings from qualitative and quantitative data into clear, impactful insights.
• Confidence engaging, influencing and challenging stakeholders with evidence-based insight.
• Innovative and resourceful approach to conducting research and delivering insights.
