Senior User Researcher in Various Locations

Location: United Kingdom; candidates must live within reasonable travelling distance of a hirify.global office and be open to working at a hirify.global office or client site at least 2 days per week. Offices are located in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London and Bristol. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available.

What you will do

• Advise clients on complex problems using user research, people-centred design and Agile methodologies.
• Lead multidisciplinary Agile teams in designing services that meet identified user needs.
• Advocate inclusive approaches in user research and promote people-centred design internally and externally.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders, challenge ideas and manage difficult conversations.
• Line manage user researchers and advise colleagues on using user research effectively.
• Support recruitment, events, blog writing and new business development.

Requirements

• Expertise applying user research methodologies across different environments.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams to design and deliver people-centred services.
• Working knowledge of researching accessibility needs or assisted digital needs.
• Proven experience championing user research, user-centred design or service design approaches.
• Experience with line management, mentoring or training of other user researchers.
• Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, including managing conflict and conveying difficult messages with tact and sensitivity.
• Good understanding of Agile roles across design, product and technology.
• Strong consultancy and leadership skills, with confidence exploring problem spaces with clients and determining appropriate ways forward.
