Intermediate User Researcher

Location: United Kingdom; candidates must be within reasonable travelling distance of a hirify.global office in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London or Bristol. The role requires flexibility to work at a hirify.global office or client location at least 2 days per week and includes travel. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available.

What you will do

• Plan and conduct user research to support product and service design across different stages of the service lifecycle.
• Select appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methods, collect data and prepare research reports.
• Support usability evaluation sessions and help teams build empathy for service users.
• Present research findings, customer insights and design or business recommendations to stakeholders, including senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners, developers and other members of Agile multidisciplinary teams within a user-centred design process.
• Run workshops, use research insights and metrics to improve services, and share best practice with the hirify.global research and design community.

Requirements

• Strong user research skills and experience advising others on designing user-centred services.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and addressing challenges to research findings.
• Experience using different qualitative and quantitative research methods to gain insights.
• Working knowledge of user-centred design principles and practices.
• Understanding of client strategic objectives and how research insights support them.
• Ability to explain research findings and related decisions clearly.
