Accountant (Crypto)

What you will do

• Own the Accounts Payable process, including supplier invoice review and coding in ApprovalMax/Xero, payment preparation, statement reconciliations and vendor master data.
• Prepare general ledger entries, accruals, prepayments, account analyses, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closes across group entities in collaboration with external accounting firms.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations, recharges and settlements across group entities.
• Support VAT and other tax compliance across jurisdictions, including VAT returns, reverse charge and withholding taxes, with external tax advisors.
• Prepare audit files, support annual and interim audits, strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Around 5 years of accounting experience, ideally starting at a Big 4 firm in audit or accounting outsourcing.
• Strong accounting background covering general ledger accounting, closing, reconciliations, accruals and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with multi-entity groups and intercompany accounting.
• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• Working knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance.
• Experience preparing for and working with external auditors.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent English and a proactive, detail-oriented, independent working style suitable for a remote international team.

• Experience with consolidation.
• Experience coaching or reviewing the work of junior team members.
• International or cross-border VAT exposure.
• Familiarity with Xero and ApprovalMax.
• Interest in crypto and/or crypto accounting experience.
• French language skills.
