Optical Metrology & ATE Test Development Engineer

Location: Regensburg, Germany. Full-time on-site work is required, with relocation to Germany and up to 30% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Develop and program automated test equipment systems, including Teradyne and Advantest platforms.
• Design and validate optical metrology solutions covering hardware and test software.
• Perform tester calibration, alignment, and cross-site measurement correlation.
• Analyze measurement data and improve production yield.
• Automate testing and data collection using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers on new measurement technologies and transfer solutions from R&D to mass production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in ATE programming and optical metrology development.
• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
