Senior QA Automation Engineer – Test Scripting and Development

Location: Lisbon, hybrid. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

Salary: €4,410–€5,460 for B2B contracts; €2,350–€2,700 net for permanent contracts.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and automation frameworks.
• Conduct automation studies, ROI analyses, and proof-of-concept development.
• Execute automated test campaigns, generate reports, and analyze results.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Model-Based Testing (MBT).
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Use Git and GitLab for version control and collaborative development.

Requirements

• Senior-level QA automation experience, including proof-of-concept development, campaign execution, and reporting.
• Working-level scripting skills in Python plus PowerShell, Bash, KSH, VBA, or VBS.
• Working experience with SQL databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with TDD and MBT.
• Experience with Jenkins and Git/GitLab.
• Rigor, synthesis skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
• French at B1 level and English at B2 level.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Java experience.
• Experience with Micro Focus UFT, SoapUI, Postman, or Robot Framework.
• ISTQB certification at Foundation, Test Manager, or Test Analyst level.
