D365 Business Central Functional Consultant

What you will do

• Lead and manage end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV implementation projects.
• Conduct discovery sessions and demonstrations for pre-sales engagements.
• Analyse client processes and requirements, then design and document solution architectures and functional specifications.
• Configure solutions, provide user training, support testing, data migration, go-lives, troubleshooting, and post-implementation improvements.
• Manage customer expectations, project risks, issues, compliance, documentation, and delivery quality.
• Provide leadership, delegate tasks, and mentor junior consultants and project team members.

Requirements

• Lead Consultant experience with strong finance and business process skills gained in a customer-facing role.
• Strong experience leading the complete project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design and architecture, user training, SIT and UAT testing, data migration, and go-live support.
• At least 4 years of proven functional experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or NAV.
• Implementation experience with GL, FA, AP/P2P, AR/O2C, workflows, inventory management, project management/jobs, roles and permissions, and configuration packages.
• Experience supporting existing implementations and identifying customer opportunities.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, including customer and stakeholder relationship management.
• Ability to lead workshops, delegate effectively while remaining accountable for delivery, mentor team members, work transparently, stay organised, and maintain strong documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jet Reports, Continia Document Capture, and Continia Expense Management.
• Some knowledge of Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Pre-sales experience involving high-level discovery and demonstrations.
• Industry or project experience with multi-company/multi-currency organisations, supply chain and distribution, manufacturing, contracting or professional services, and public sector organisations.
