Bachelor Thesis – Radar Algorithms

Location: Lund, Sweden; on-site at the Radar Algorithms team headquarters.

What you will do

• Develop algorithms for radar systems operating in real-world conditions.
• Investigate clutter and false detection suppression, including detections caused by waves or swaying objects.
• Review relevant research and identify limitations in current approaches.
• Work with real-world radar data and potentially camera data.
• Implement and evaluate algorithms, clearly documenting their performance and limitations.
• Refine the research question and project scope with the Radar Algorithms team and an assigned supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's student in Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of relevant fields such as machine learning, computer vision, robotics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Python and data analysis.
• Interest in AI, sensor fusion, radar systems, and autonomous perception.
• Working ability to communicate in English.
• Affiliation with a Swedish University/College, either directly or through an exchange program.
• CV and University/College grade summary must be attached to the application.

Nice to have

• Applying together with another student is preferred where the thesis proposal includes two students.
