What you will do
- Develop and execute APAC commodity strategies for Trim & Plastics in line with regional purchasing and business objectives.
- Deliver profit-plan commitments through material cost improvement, working-capital improvement, supplier rationalization, quality improvement, and other purchasing metrics.
- Maintain a weekly cost-saving roadmap and reconcile planned initiatives with actual monthly results.
- Lead sourcing, supplier nominations, and supplier negotiations while following purchasing, program, and approval processes.
- Use market intelligence, cost breakdowns, benchmarking, and clean-sheet methods to optimize costs and improve total landed cost.
- Partner with Engineering, Costing, Program Purchasing, Quality, Operations, and Finance on VA/VE, continuous improvement, sourcing, supplier performance, and supply-risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Manage supplier capacity, financial, operational, geopolitical, commercial, quality, delivery, and launch risks, including mitigation and recovery plans.
- Provide commodity reporting, recommendations, and decision support to regional stakeholders and leadership.
