Data Engineer (Consultant)

Location: Addison, Texas, United States; hybrid model with at least three days per week in person and two remote days. Consulting projects may involve travel, with some projects requiring up to 80% travel temporarily and an annual average of 10%–30%.

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Architect and implement enterprise data solutions on project-based, client-facing consulting teams.
• Contribute to projects involving data strategy, data science, modern data architecture, data visualization, and insights.
• Develop data pipelines, perform data wrangling, optimize data flows, and build solutions for data collection and analysis.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based data solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Apply expertise across multiple use cases and industries to solve business problems with data.
• Present technical concepts to business and technical client audiences and collaborate with consultants and project teams.

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on experience delivering cloud enterprise solutions across multiple domains in industry or technology consulting.
• Understanding of cloud solution architecture in one or more major cloud providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Technical knowledge in cloud-native tooling, including relevant AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
• Technical knowledge in cloud platform engineering, including Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps, and/or GitHub Actions.
• Technical knowledge in cloud data engineering, cloud security engineering, cloud FinOps, and/or cloud migration advisory.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and standards.
• Passion for technology and keeping current with application and cloud development trends across software development disciplines and processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively, solve challenging problems creatively, and present technical concepts to clients.
