Senior Data Scientist, Business Analytics

What you will do

• Own data end to end, including sourcing, storage, flows, access, querying, infrastructure, tooling, dashboards, and ground-truth reporting.
• Consolidate financial statements, product metrics, and growth analysis through a shared data lake and specialized views.
• Build systems for experiment tracking so Product can monitor tests without relying on spreadsheets.
• Assess and extend the internal data warehouse and product analytics tooling with dashboards, self-serve analysis tools, data models, and reporting pipelines.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and executive leadership on product instrumentation, business metrics, growth attribution, roadmaps, and strategic questions.
• Develop robust metrics and analytical methods that distinguish signal from noise while respecting privacy and limited telemetry.

Requirements

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience as a product-minded data leader or data scientist with engineering depth.
• Ability to translate business questions into analysis and recommendations, think like a product manager and business owner, and work with messy, incomplete, or deliberately constrained data.
• Experience using quasi-experiments, proxy metrics, qualitative triangulation, or decision frameworks suitable for limited data.
• Production-quality coding skills and fluency in SQL.
• Experience building data pipelines, models, and tooling that become infrastructure.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with modern analytics stacks.
• Experience with PostHog for product analytics and Postgres for data storage and querying, including understanding PostHog's potential across error tracking, support, and conversation data.
• Ability to communicate clearly with executive stakeholders, explain uncertainty, avoid overclaiming, and support decisions under uncertainty.
• Alignment with hirify.global's privacy mission and willingness to develop analytical methods without invasive tracking.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with more than one of Rust, TypeScript, Go, and Python.
• Interest in using AI agents and LLMs to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive data work, and surface insights.
