Staff Product Manager (Identity Governance)

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; or Washington, DC. Hybrid schedule with two days per week in a local office. In-person orientation is required in either the San Francisco or Chicago office.

Annual base salary: $217,000–$298,000 USD or $194,000–$266,000 USD, depending on location. Equity, bonus, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, PTO, and parental leave may also be available.

What you will do

• Engage with customers to understand governance, compliance, and access management pain points and identify product opportunities.
• Define and execute the roadmap, product strategy, and vision for the Okta Identity Governance platform.
• Make prioritization trade-offs to deliver the product vision and key features within communicated timelines.
• Lead a scrum team of engineers and collaborate with engineering, architecture, design, product, and cross-functional teams.
• Track innovations and the competitive landscape and act as a thought leader for the product area.
• Partner with Product Marketing to communicate Okta's differentiation from market alternatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, preferably in Enterprise SaaS or IaaS.
• Experience developing phased roadmaps for complex or abstract projects and executing them to deliver products customers value.
• Customer-focused, with an owner mindset, curiosity, team spirit, and an outcome-oriented approach.
• Bachelor's degree or MBA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Okta and its Identity Governance and Access Management technology.
• Direct experience or practical knowledge of identity governance concepts, including access certifications, entitlement management, role-based access control, and separation of duties.
• Familiarity with SCIM and SAML standards.
• Knowledge of the identity governance competitive landscape, including SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft Entra ID Governance, and other IGA and PAM providers.
