Visual Designer (Fintech)

Location: Remote / San Francisco / New York / Salt Lake City. The role accommodates 100% remote work.

Base salary: $95,000–$185,000 per year. Total compensation may also include bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you will do

• Design responsive desktop and mobile pages for the marketing website, focusing on usability, visual hierarchy, and conversion.
• Develop creative concepts and visual assets for product launches, marketing campaigns, blog posts, and social media.
• Create event signage, promotional materials, and other digital and print collateral.
• Translate complex financial and technical concepts into illustrations, diagrams, and infographics.
• Extend the visual identity across channels by developing reusable templates and exploring new creative directions.
• Own projects from initial brief through final delivery while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft in typography, layout, composition, color, and hierarchy.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in visual, marketing, or brand design; portfolio quality is weighted more heavily than years of experience.
• Experience designing responsive web pages for desktop and mobile and understanding of web UX principles.
• Experience designing across digital and print formats.
• Experience extending and evolving design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, communicate design decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for B2B SaaS, developer tools, fintech, or other technical products.
• Experience at a high-growth startup or creative agency.
• Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing.
• Familiarity with web accessibility, A/B testing, and conversion analytics.
• Experience preparing print-ready files and coordinating with print vendors, particularly for event signage and collateral.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS.
• Interest in AI-assisted tools for improving design workflows and production efficiency.
• Interest in financial markets or market data.
