Associate, Transfer Agency Oversight

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work arrangement with 18 remote workdays per quarter, subject to manager approval.

Base salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and potential long-term reward programs.

What you will do

• Assist with daily operational tasks related to transfer agency processes.
• Support internal business teams in aligning transfer agency processes with global operating model standards.
• Participate in meetings with transfer agents, distributors, and other relevant parties.
• Act as a point of contact between transfer agency providers and HarbourVest operations teams.
• Assist with calculating distributor and intermediary fees and coordinating payments.
• Maintain and update operating model documentation.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of fund administration and transfer agency processes.
• Prior experience working with external providers, including fund administrators, transfer agents, custodians, or intermediaries.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, organization, commitment to excellence, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial services.
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent experience.
• Motivation to learn and grow in a fast-growing environment.
